Teriyaki Chicken {Easy 15 Minute Recipe}
This Teriyaki chicken recipe will quickly become a new favorite! In this casserole recipe, the bite-size pieces of chicken breast are sautéed in a pan and covered with an easy and delicious teriyaki sauce. It tastes the same as your favorite Chinese takeout, but you can prepare it faster than the time it would take to get a takeout!
Teriyaki Chicken

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 1/2 tsp. Packed light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
- 2 tsp. 1 tsp fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
- 2 tsp. 1 tsp fresh garlic, peeled and chopped (2 cloves)
- 2 tsp. 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, to serve (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a 12 inch non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken and brown for about 3 to 4 minutes, then turn over and continue cooking until the center registers about 160 degrees, about 3 minutes more.
- While the chicken cooks, in a small mixing bowl (or a liquid measuring cup), whisk together the soy sauce, water, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger , garlic and cornstarch.
- Stir in sauce with cooked chicken and continue to cook and stir until sauce thickens, about 30 to 60 seconds longer.
- Serve hot garnished with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
